Job Description:
AI Research Scientist
Join our research team to push the boundaries of Eve’s cognitive capabilities and accelerate our progress towards AGI. You will be responsible for exploring, prototyping, and validating next-generation AI techniques outlined in our AGI roadmap, transforming theoretical concepts into practical modules that can be integrated into Eve’s core architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Advance the AGI Roadmap: Design and run experiments for Phase 1 and 2 of the AGI roadmap, focusing on metacognition, autonomous learning, and universal problem-solving.
- Metacognitive Prototyping: Develop and test prototypes for Eve's self-reflection and performance-monitoring capabilities. This includes creating agents that can analyze their own failures and suggest improvements.
- RLHF & Alignment: Design and implement the pipeline for Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) to fine-tune our models and align agent behavior with user intent and safety protocols.
- Cognitive Architecture: Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate novel research components into Eve's `Unified Cognitive Architecture`, ensuring that new capabilities are robust and scalable.
- Publish & Present: Document and share research findings internally and externally through papers, blog posts, and conference presentations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Computer Science, AI, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience with a strong publication record at top-tier conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).
- Demonstrable research expertise in one or more of the following areas crucial to Eve's AGI roadmap: Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF), agent alignment, online learning, metacognition in AI, or autonomous systems.
- Proven ability to translate theoretical research into working prototypes. The ideal candidate has not only published papers but has also built systems that demonstrate their research concepts.
- Strong proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or JAX. Familiarity with TypeScript is a significant plus for collaborating with the engineering team.
- Experience designing and implementing novel reward models and alignment techniques for Large Language Models.
